See below, the tube starts in the tank then submerges briefly before tracking up across the back of the tank. It leaves the tank at the back and runs behind it until it emerges - which is where the previous picture picks up its trail.

The desk lamp in the picture before last?

That's currently being used to illuminate the feeding station. I will use it to illuminate the new nest chamber once I've fitted it. :)

Not as far as I am aware. It's purely for aesthetic purposes. I think lighting is an important factor in presentation personally.

I scooped off a bit of the fungus from nest chamber one last night and put it in nest chamber 2 as a little test to see how easy it would be to get the ants to start using a new nest chamber. They'd removed it all back to nest chamber 1 in half an hour.
