If you mean at the front.. that's not fungus, that was a pile of waste that was hanging from the underside of the flat glass and where I was fannying about with it ended up on the inside rim of the floating glass..

Update.. fungus now the size of a small tennis ball... and I noticed the ants moving some of the brood into it just now. They are still not using my floating glass dump though... shits!

Sounds really great Richard, I'm actually really jealous, can I just ask for the lids of the 2 10 X 20 tanks it looks like just plain glass plane, did you get antstore to make them for you?

Hi Shamual, I got those custom made. Glass is very cheap and I just phoned a local supplier and asked for 4mm glass, 20*10cm with polished edges. I think they cost about £4 each.

Second shroom is looking great Richard, is going to grow so quick. Shame that haven't used the glass, they have a habit of never doing what we would like them to do lol

A lot going on at the moment. The second fungus is growing well. But I noticed today that the ants were taking the brood "upstairs", i.e out of the aquarium. So I followed where they were heading and noticed that I am actually a three fungus family as they'd made a small fungus in the tubes behind the tank. Any white you can see is brood as the fungus is still very grey.

Richard, has the second fungus garden slowed at all in growth rate, especially since the appearance of the third garden?

It has slowed a little from the pace of the first few days but it is still growing at a noticeable rate.

I wonder if they are not entirely happy with the second chamber. It is normally a sign that they are discontent if they start to build in the pipework when there is an area already being worked on. Have you set it up exactly as the first one?

Interesting, I never thought about it like that Andrew.
