This is a picture taken in the wild of a natural fungus garden of Atta capiguara. This is a grass cutting species. Looks really different from the traditional gardens we expect to see. Would make an interesting subject for study!

very strange, looks like a ball of elastic bands. These grass cutting species must be easier to feed. I'm assuming they don't need different types of grass?

Guaranteed it'll be a particular type of grass we dont get here and they'll end up only taking snowdrop leaves or seaweed flowers or something stupid like that. I'll brace myself for that letdown nearer the time.

You will probably have to cut the privet leaves to look like grass. Staple thin strips together in 30cm long ribbons so the ants think its a blade of grass. Take hours just to feed one colony and I'll have 60 of them! Guaranteed.

Okay, now I honestly dont know if you're taking this seriously or having a laugh. I need to know. Wont be able to sleep tonight. And is Kale like grass? I didnt think so. You should definately be first in line for a colony.
