But still a moat with an aquarium heater and the tub standing just above the water

Is a mystery, hopefully pics will reveal something, is your thermometer reading from the height of the fungus box?
Is the fungus coveted or open and do they have access to soil, if there's is really wet they will use dry stuff to soak it up.
Water isn't dripping on to the fungus?
I'm just trying to tick boxes

Thermometer is inside the fungus box.
It has a lid just over the fungus but not tight fit just a piece of acrylic over the top basically.
They have a bit of peat. Doesn't look too wet.
It's a real mystery to me dunno what's going wrong

You can see how the fungus is now dead. This is a real mystery :(

May not be dead formica, young colonies go through short periods of not cutting, I know my first one did and it panicked me. Just leave them a little selection of oatmeal, privet and if you can a flower/ rose. There are still many around because of the mild weather.

I realise that but they aren't tending to the fungus at all just sitting and walking on it. I put up some cut up cabbage (their favourite) and privet and they just dumped it. It's also quite crispy.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong?
