The Perfect Small Colony

Just had to post this picture!

I think this is one of the most perfect small colonies of Atta I have ever seen. If has fungus of the ideal colour, the right amount of ants and is very active. Just got attached to this one!

Maybe after all the countless colonies you have collected over the years this is the one you should keep for yourself ;)

I'm thinking of naming all of the workers.
By the way, many years ago I made a film with Colin Firth and Mena Suvari! I was wrangling ants for this film called Trauma. At the end of this very serious and grim film about a murderer who was mad, the end titles have a big section where the film makers name hundreds of ants with names all beginning with the letter 'A'. It was very funny.
