Leaf Cutting Ant Forum

I have been thinking about bringing some waste material back from Trinidad, complete with all of the commensals which live there, and 'innoculating' the dump chamber of a colony here. These inverts will include cockroaches, beetles and grubs, various worms etc etc. I am going to set up a dump chamber in one of the larger nests I have and use that as a conatained environment to grow this culture. Just wondered if thats of interest to anyone else who has a colony.

This would have to be done in a more natural set up i would imagine, but i have an overdose of spring tails already that are doing a good job apart from the pooh stains they leave on the sides. LC's being very house proud, i would have thought that they would have made more of an effort to clean up after the spring tails...

Guys, you need to stop asking for permission from your wives for this kind of stuff. Just get it, add it and say nothing. Its easy, really. Works for a whole host of different things.
