New Setup for Acromyrmex

After getting sick of doing water changes, and a few arguments with the other half...
I have moved the ants into a more user friendly setup.
They now have a dedicated waste tank and foraging area.
The whole setup is light enough to pick up and move now.
I think it is much better, no escapes so far.

A heat mat will be going inside the garden section, not inside the actual chamber, and will be controlled by a thermostat which is monitored online.

Check out my old setup in the members journal area.

Quick update.
The ants are fine, about the same size colony as the last update, mainly due to poor leaves through winter and the heat mat causing the humidity to drop substantially.

The temps were too cold at night to turn the heat mat off so I ended up using a cool mist humidifier on a cycle.

It has worked great and after a little tweaking, I can keep the temps up around 25c and the humidity between 80-100 %.

I don't know what has happened to the forum, or if everyone has just stopped keeping ants, but it would be great to see some peoples current setups.

Mat.
