Very nice set up in South America (somewhere)

Post by Acromyrmexbob » Thu Dec 17, 2015 12:19 am

Not sure the details of this. Looked for ages and couldn't find where it is so I have posted the links.

The first link, scroll down the page, very annoying music but good video of a fantastic colony of laevigata

And some other spanish stuff here:

and finally some disaster happened here which suggests not to use glass as a lid! I think a piece of the roof fell on the lid and broke it and then it says the flood from rainwater allowed all the ants to escape!! nice ending.

How did you find this??? Lol brilliant.
It's a nice set up, like the idea of the fungus towers in the open.
Where is the video as I couldn't find it.

All of our three tanks have glass lids.....but thankfully nothing can fall on them! Shame they had that accident though....

However I am sure if you had asked them prior to this if there was anything that could fall on theirs they would have said no, until their roof caved in! Quite an unexpected incident. You just never know when structural failure will strike!!! :|
