Thats the place alright. They are by far the cheapest and their service is great. I buy a lot of stuff from here.

Re: Clear tubing
Just 1 more question i promise obviously the ants can climb vertical clean surfaces so if we were to use acrylic tubing im guessing they would be able to grip ot well enough to move and carry leaves as normal?

Re: Clear tubing
Might be an idea to scratch a bit of the inside of the tubing for long vertical lengths so that the ants will be able to climb well.

I've scratched the inside of the tubes before. You've got to be really careful not to get scratched on the side you are viewing from. Otherwise you could get a very thin branch and put that inside. This gives a more natural look as the ants will walk along it rather than the sides of the tubing. Its a matter of taste really.

Yeah that was one of our thoughts, we were originally looking at the larger tubing with rope in, might redesign it to mabye reduce any long verticals and use rope or small twigs on the short verticals,

Re: Clear tubing
The 30mm diameter pipe is plenty wide enough to allow a narrow branch / rope and the ants to pass. Dont be tempted to use wider pipe to allow the ants to move through it, its not necessary.

Re: Clear tubing
I'd recommend you go for 20mm, it's strong, very clear, fittings are easily obtained and it avoids the ant setting up shop in it! We'll be selling 20 mm fittings for our new range of formicariums coming soon!
It's worth noting that the clear fittings are extortionate and for the amount you require could be a huge investment assuming you can obtain them! Good luck and keep us posted! x
