The two laws of keeping Attas

Quite simply, Leaf Cutting Ants are virtually maintenance free and easy to look after if two parameters are kept at the correct level.
Firstly Temperature. Most species of Leaf Cutter are ideally kept at around 23-25C in the nest area. The other environmental setting is humidity. This is ideally 90%+. Once these two are at the right level you are left with regular feeding and monitoring the colonies growing. Designing housing to enable temperature and humidity to be kept within these bands is the most important preparatory task prior to the ants arriving.
