Did you notice that the ants have filled the pipes with fungus. Thats because the diameter of the pipes is way too big. The pipes should be no more than 15-20mm. Thats also why they've got empty chambers which would be full if the pipes were the correct diameter, I think.

I'd like it more it the background wasn't so busy! It would assist viewing if the backdrop where lighter! Guess it's my OCD kicking in again lol

Yes, I think it is trying to be two different things. On one hand the background is very artistic and natural, a completely organic looking underground crosssection whilst the colony itself is housed in a box and tube type setup which looks very laboratory. Not sure the two combine well.

Would it not be tricky to heat in our climate? I wonder what they do. Think the are relying on the ambient room temp?
