I was asked to make this film by the Natural History Unit of the BBC at Bristol. The remit was to tell the story of animals that get lost or separated from their families. My portion of the film was to tell the story of a colony of Leaf Cutting Ants in Rio de Janero, Brazil, that lived in the cracks of the pavement in the middle of the city. The filming was spectacular but the story and the commentating was horrible. So apologies for everything other than the amazing slo-mo shots of ants and the close ups.

I am currently dissecting this film to remove everything except the leaf cutters so bear with me!
