French Guiana, April 2019

Fantastic scouting trip to French Guiana, just before the law was changed and when it was okay to bring insects out of there. Brought back some Atta cephalotes, Atta sexdens and Acromyrmex octospinosus.
Atta sexdens incipient colonies...
A medium sized Atta cephalotes from a forest near Cayenne
Acromyrmex octospinosus, same location as above...
I also collected a few Acromyrmex landolti, a very difficult species to excavate
