Setup is now working really well. Thanks Jackie for the tips and ideas along the way! I'm designing my new setup along a similar idea, just a lot more professional looking.

Lots of fungus growth this morning
I can't wait until they increase their numbers and I put them in their new setup, it will look fantastic

Added a small heater/filter pump to the tank today, only cost £5
fungus fell over it was getting so high lol. Seems to be doing well

Not yet pal, but I've used bramble, Apple leaf, orange leaf, grapes, strawberry leaf, rhododendron, privet, rice and oatmeal

Maybe more appropriate for the food plant section but when you fed Rhododendron did you find they took it? Ants love this but it tends to be too tough. And another problem with this plant is if you select new growth it is covered in a sticky excretion which can cause the ants to become trapped. For big mature colonies this poses no problem but I have not found this abundant plant suitable for small colonies. I would be interested to hear what others have found.
