I'm sorry to hear that your queen has died! I wonder why she died?

Hey,

yeah, this are really bad news, I know.

I'm pretty sure the workers cut of the head and the legs of the queen.

Gregor was the entrance to the tub big enough for the queen to exit? If not maybe the workers killed her trying to get her through, just an idea.

Oh that's gruesome, I'm so sorry for your loss.

But would it have been possible that the queen died naturally, and then the workers cut her up to make it easier to get her body out of the nest?

Hello Guys,

yes, the entrance was big enough for the queen.

Shamual, i think that would be possible too. In the German Forum they told me, workers dont kill the queen.

But i told someone about my dead queen and this wonderfull person always has many colonies. He forgot to feed one, so the shroom is small, but the workers are still all there. He sad he would bring up the colonie to 1-2 Litre Fungus when i want, or i can take them next week like that. But i better let him first bring them to 1-2 Litre, he knows better about Atta keeping than me, and i dont want to risk anything. The good thing about this is, its possible for me to pay this! :) Its an Atta cephalotes.

Greetings,
Greg

Gregor, will you tell your friend about this forum and ask them to join. Sounds like the type of person we need on here. Looking for all of the leading Leaf Cutting ant people around the world to join and share their experiences here. That way anything someone wants to know about Leaf Cutters can be found here! Will you ask him?

Hey,

of course I will ask! His name is Steffen Kraus, maybe do you know him? I think his problem would be that he don't got much time. He always is busy. But I ask him.

Greetings,
Greg

I know Steffen from a while back, he is very busy and hardly ever got chance to reply to my messages about C.fulvopilosus . Lovely Camponotus detritus he has at the moment.
