Rose shoots seem to be the new favourite after months of Aucuba! They collect a solid handful of these in a day!

Roses are a great food for them. I dont have any around me unless I go all SAS and raid the neighbours at night. Got shouted at the other day for taking privet from a hedge on a main road. I was about to explain what the leaves were for and then thought better of it.

Asha, my fiance, was out collecting leaves from a spot last year and this angry woman, who lived across the street, came out and said " What are you doing". Asha was taken aback and said" I'm collecting privet. Our Leaf Cutting Ants eat them."
Then the woman said "I know perfectly well what Leaf Cutting Ants eat!"

What? No she didnt!! What a stupid thing to say. What do you say to someone who says that.
