Given decent soil and watered in its first year they will usually double in size each year! Bomb proof shrubs lol

Sean, great idea to stock plants for the ants. You will take over the world at this rate! Are you planning to send these plants by courier / post? Cost of this would be as much as the plant. If collection only your market will be limited. The soil costs the money. Just interested.

Yeah postage is shocking, its about a third of a shrub that size, I was going to stock smaller but hey what's the point. Bigger the better, same as fungus size is everything! I post out about 200 bananas and over 100 ricinus not to mentions some other juicy specimens every year. First passion is always plants!

If you pay the postage I'll send you a pack of plants, most of which are not kept by anyone else in the country. Lots of cuttings, rooted stock, corms etc. If you want me to. I am about to prune the greenhouse, most are brought back from the rainforest and loads are only found in a few botanical gardens.

Banana leaves need testing with my colony. Would be interested in buying a banana plant. Am into my plants too . Not as serious as you Sean but have grown mango plants from seeds successfully.
