What you feed, where you get it from, basically we will build up a comrehensive list of suitable plants to feed Leaf Cutters. Also in temperate countries, what do you feed them in the Winter?

Forage Plant Supply Service

Not sure this would be of interest to members who keep colonies themselves, but the new postal forage service is growing in popularity with zoos. This is where each week we send out a large box with 7 separate bags of leaves, one for each day of the week. For public displays in city centres or in locations where it can be difficult to locate a good leaf supply, this is a life saver, literally!!
But most of all the benefit is found mainly in winter. Having these leaves arrive each week and not having to find something to give the ants every week is a huge step forward. Hopefully this will lead to a better display and a healthier colony in many of the public displays of leaf cutters around the country.
