Large Australian Oecophylla smaragdina colony 200+ Workers

Post by Leafcutter » Wed Aug 10, 2016 11:44 am

I am selling my Australian Oecophylla smaragdina colony as they are growing at an alarming rate and I won't be able to provide them with a home for much longer. The colony is at least 200+ workers strong with lots of brood, currently there is a mass of pupae so the colony is expected to increase in size very quickly. They are ready to be put directly onto a small tree to weave a nest in the leaves. The Queen is healthy and is laying eggs constantly. This species from Australia are very rare and I am selling them for the same price I paid for them when I got the colony with 50 workers.

£300 with free next day shipping in the UK, can send to EU with additional postage costs. Please PM me if you are interested :).

Im quite interested in them. I will watch this space, got quite a few colonies just now but if your Leaf Cutting Ant colony was anything to go by, this colony will be superb.

It is certainly a cheap colony, £300 for a colony this size is practically a steal. I've seen a colony of 100 workers going for £400 approx.

They're like hens teeth! Personally not a great fan of the arboreal species, I've found them the most aggressive to date! You been mauled by yours yet Uncle Bob?
