Cyphomyrmex from Trinidad

Post by Acromyrmexbob » Sun Jan 22, 2017 9:01 pm

I collected two colonies of Cyphomyrmex from Trinidad.
Havent had a chance to take any pics of them here but I scabbed this off the interweb to show them. Its a rubbish pic.

Anyway, got a really good location to collect them now, their nests look like Atta cones but sometimes have more than one burrow entrance

The fungus is similar to Acro, dont really know what they eat yet, havent even checked for a queen, just an experiment really.

Possibly. However I am not really into selling single small colonies. My business is only concerned with selling displays to zoos so probably the best I would do is supply 20 or 30 to resellers, either in UK or Europe.
