Finding the temps on each shelf is a good start. Where did you measure the temperature in the unit when you had your colony, did you ever check the actual temperature of the peat? Is there any gaps between the shelves for air to flow from one to another?

hi guy have made a decision am going for a tank setup as it does everything in one go I think it will be the best way for me to go I like RichardP setup so may try something like that probley not as nice as on a budget and would prob go for Acromyrmex as they don't get as big as atta. what size tank do you think I would need to hold boxes for them would they out grow that tank any info please

As I mentioned, my aquarium is 80cm *40cm*40cm.
I currently have two glass nest chambers in mine which are 10*10*20cm each.
