More block carving. We will work up to the tree tomorrow then on Monday we are going to do some natural rock carving to illustrate the difference and I will show pictures then. Today we also scratch coated the base of the tree. Heres the pictures......

Now we have reached the tree with the Aztec wall, things start to look better.....













This is a picture of where the walkway turns into a tube to disappear behind the tree...

Im looking forward to seeing this tree!

Started on the rockwork last week.
Just done the tops and some of the sides of the enclosures. Will really come together when the rockwork is properly coloured so you are seeing this at a stage when most people would be kept away!!!!







We also added the scratch coat to the fish tank / pond display.



And I fixed the frames for the heiroglyphics on the pillars and beams...




And then carver some shapes...




Couldnt resist getting a Leaf Cutting Ant in there!

Finished sculpting the rockwork around the zoo style exhibits, including the Leaf Cutting Display.







then started to add colour to the rock. Still a ways to go, our completion date is mid May.







Also starting to last phase of the rock arch at the entrance...
