So how long at what temps ? I was thinking about an atta colony in my attic. Youve convinced me not too cos i know id do the same.

It's freaky how much of a difference a night of low temperature can make. Really makes you think.
I'm scared for my atta now who are currently in a barn which is in minuses at night, it was -8 last night outside!
Luckily, everything here is ok.
Really sorry to hear what happened deansie - any news on the queen?

Inside the nest tank it was 5.5 degrees, I had my last Atta in the garage at minus 10 Andy, thick insulation and your sorted. Just put a big sign on the power switch!

Gutted for you mate xx my heating has gone too but I have mine alarmed if the temp drops and their indoors!

I too had a brief moisturising moment in my pants today when i saw - 8c on my thermo'. Fortunately just a break down.
