I have located the nest, they had moved the fungus from its original place!

I doubt if they've moved it away from the original placeZ the fungus probably just grew so big that it's now touching the side of the container!

My ants are doing great! Cleaned out the water yesterday! (The consequence of not having a filter or a running moat)

They love grapes, almonds and rose petals!

Eloise that looks really nice. The set up is lovely and clean. You are keeping it very well. Good news that the ants have moved. One of the key characteristics of Acromyrmex is that they will react when things are not perfect. They have chosen that spot because its right for them. So keep doing what you are doing and all will be well. You should post in a week or so and lets see if the fungus is growing. Colony growth tends to be exponential, meaning it does not grow gradually. Once conditions are right the colony explodes. If that hasn't happened yet, I assure you the storm is coming.

Thank you! I'm glad to hear that I'm doing things right, I will post a pic of the fungus next week, I'll see if I can improve my photography! Can't wait for the storm! :D

My ants are active and the fungus looks healthy! However they don't seem to like a range of leaves, will only take rose petals and rose leaves at the moment! They also love apple, grapes and almonds!
