I think I remember reading/hearing that if there's no brood, the ants won't cut leaves...Not sure though. Eggs just mean the Queen is "working her magic". I always used fungus as a determining factor to see whether my colony was doing okay or not. I almost exclusively gave leaves to my Atta colony, therefore my fungus was always extremely dark from the pulpated leaves. Miss a few days of feeding and the fungus becomes whiter and whiter, due to the mycelium thread mass of hyphae increasing in size. I saw a picture of Jamie's fungus at one point and it was yellow, but that was for a short period of time if I remember correctly.

Yeah. Looking for eggs is actually pretty stupid, as I obviously had eggs anyway as there is lots of brood now.,,

Oh ok hahaha mine also have a lot of brood mainly pupa but also quite a lot of larva, i will stop looking but that doesn't mean I don't want to see them

HI guys, my ants started to cheat but soon realised that the leaf was too big, but they quickly cut it up and now is part of the fungus , not much else has happened, leaf tribe is continuing to grow their fungus and many leafs are being cut. Raven is still there I think I got land loving queen now YAY!
