Fungus has stopped growing now-maybe because it's the maximum it can grow with so little ants, punt them in a big 100l aquarium today - bought it from the market for 10 euros! Came with a heater, pump, lamp, stand and even a thermometer :o

Did the grape and orange peel test, but they took a bit of both, not sure if this is good or bad, but the fungus is a good colour so I'm not worried.

Just waiting on those eggs

So what I once thought was eggs was actually white tuffs from the fungus in a little ball :(

No visible brood now, but fungus is still looking great, I just don't understand... Really getting worried now as I know Andrew said not to worry about it but there's no larvae or anything now

Hi leaf cutter ant pro here I think you should get a cup of tea and relax, they have most likely hidden their brood, all the ants I've ever had always hide there brood for obvious reasons. :) :) :)

THEYRE DOING AMAZINGLY. the fungus now touches the top of the tub and lots of brood is present, have anabout 10 new large medians born and cutting loads everyday now. Couldn't be happier :)

Don't scare us like that! You'll be seeing plenty of brood in the next few weeks if the progress continues like this:).

Atta cephalotes (2019)
Camponotus detritus (2018)
Camponotus maculatus (2018)

Jamie, if you see another sentence from Formica123 which contains the words "saw", "queen" and "eggs", will you please ban him! Might as well start acting like the Ant Hill Forum mob!

The ants have been going from strength to strength and today the fungus was so top heavy it toppled over, but all is ok.

All doing great now, about a tennis ball fungus size.
